Cannabis Strains are divided into:
- Sativa Strain
- Indica Strain
- Hybrid Strain
- CBD Strain
The strain characteristics and effects of Indica mainly affect the body, provides relaxation/reduces stress, aids in sleeping, reduces intra-ocular pressure, reduces nausea/stimulates appetite, reduces seizure frequency/anti-convulsion, and reduces inflammation. This strain is commonly known as “Nighttime cannabis”.

Strain type: Indica
Parent Strain: None; Landrace Strain
The Afghan Kush is grown around the Hindu Mountain region. It is quite a heavy Indica strain, named after its geographical location, where the earliest varieties of cannabis were grown. This strain has a hash-like scent and a sweet hash taste when smoked. It is recommended as a nighttime strain for muscle relaxation, helping out with fatigue, to calm down anxiety.
The Afghan Kush is also known for producing large quantities of resin. Which is another important reason it is highly a sort after cannabis strain.
Name: Moroccan Gold
This strain is native to the North African Rif Mountain, a region in Northeast Morocco and the plateau of Ketama. Cannabis was said to have been grown around this region in the 15th century. This amazing cannabis strain grows similar to those breeds in the Hindu Kush Mountains. It is packed with both relaxing and uplifting effects, stimulating conversations. The buds from the Moroccan gold produces high resins for hashish. This makes this strain another high sort after among users on a global scale. The average THC level in this strain moderate around 10-15% average. Making it perfect for depression, chronic pain, stress, and insomnia.
Strain Type: Indica
Parent Strain: Grape Ape, Grapefruit
This is an Indica-dominant mix of Grape Ape and Grapefruit that is crossed with another undisclosed strain to produce this and emit a sweet, tropical blend of fruit flavors. The effects of Zkittlez are surprisingly uplifting for an Indica, leaving consumers focused, alert, and excited while relaxing the body simultaneously to help the consumer unwind. The zkittlez is candy-flavored cannabis bred by 3rd Gen Family and Terp Hogs. Its chunky colas explode in a spectrum of light green hues.
Strain Type: Hybrid
Parent Strain: Unknown
OG Kush makes up the genetic backbone of West Coast American cannabis. Despite its ubiquity, its genetic origins remain something of a mystery. Popular myth maintains that Chemdawg and the Hindu Kush parented OG Kush; however, we can’t be sure because OG Kush first came from bag seed in the early 90s. The earliest propagators (now known as Imperial Genetics) are said to have brought the seeds out of Florida to Colorado and southern California, where it now flourishes. There are many different phenotypes of OG Kush like the Tahoe OG, SFV OG, and Alpha OG. OG Kush is cherished because it can crush stress under the weight of its heavy euphoria.
Parent Strain: South American, South Indian Indica
This strain is among the most famous in the world. A balanced hybrid was first bred in the Netherlands by Green House Seeds. Its buds are white, sticky, and sometimes conical with crystal resin and high potency effects. Despite mostly Sativa, white widow looks much more Indica during the vegetation stage. Plants are bushy and wide rarely exceed 6 feet in height. The widow comes with a mild euphoric effect, making it good for social gathering, stimulating conversation and awareness.
The plant flower within 9 weeks when grown indoors and are ready for harvest early. The white widow is a balanced hybrid.
Strain Type: Hybrid
Parent Strain: Granddaddy Purple, Durban Poison
With illustrious lineage, buds that are dense and full of orange hairs, and a touch of purple color, this strain smells of sweet and sour cherry pie. Its effects come on in minutes and stick around for hours. A delicious strain as its name suggests is a sweet flower with strong lineage. It makes a great joint.
Strain Type Hybrid
Parent Strain Blue Dream, Dream Star
The Sativa-dominant hybrid Double Dream puts a unique spin on the famed Blue Dream by crossing it with Dream Star. With a complex flavor profile that synchronizes sweet floral notes with berries and spice, it’s a soothing and mentally invigorating strain that still allows clear-headed functionality. The dreamy, euphoric buzz is anchored by a deep, physical relaxation that mutes pain, anxiety, stress, and more.
Recently high-CBD strains are becoming popular, which is another category of strain that has medicinal properties with less to no trace of psychoactive effects. Some of the medicinal effects of High-CBD strains include anti-anxiety, anti-tumor, anti-seizure, anti-inflammatory, pain relief, and cancerous tumor reduction. These strains are suitable for patients who want the medicinal benefits without the high buzz, especially for patients who need to drive or work with heavy machinery. Cannabinoids are one of more than 60 chemical compounds found in cannabis that make the CBD. However, CBD stands out since it has various medicinal benefits with less mind-altering effects. Patients who use strains with high CBD and low THC have enjoyed the therapeutic benefits of cannabis. As a result, breeders are currently working on creating different high-CBD cannabis for use by patients. In the past, medicinal growers created two strains that have high levels of CBD. The strains are Charlotte’s Web and Avidekel. Charlotte’s Web is thought to have the highest level of CBD strain since it has 20% CBD and less than 0.5% THC. Avidekel has
15.8% to 16.3% CBD and 0% THC. Research has indicated that Avidekel has been used in the treatment of various illnesses with minimal side effects.
